CCTV CONTROL ROOM OPERATORS COURSE

Overview

This professional security training course provides the skills required to operate close circuit television cameras (CCTV) and other complex security systems in a Control Room. We introduce you to the operational requirements, key performance indicators and system requirements of CCTV cameras. To become a CCTV operator, you must know how to maintain data security and protect the public and its property. We delve into the Kenya’s Data Protection Act to prepare you for the job.

We teach  how to analyse hostile surveillance and emphasise the importance and dynamics of behavioural analysis. CCTV maintains its distinctive character while playing a significant role in many existing security networks. We break down such systems to help you underst and how CCTV systems operate.

We explain how a CCTV operator can keep an eye on CCTV screens both reactively and proactively and show you how such video surveillance systems maintain safety and security.

Objectives

  • To introduce the learners to their roles and responsibilities within the CCTV Control Room Environment
  • To Develop the Learners understanding of the importance of the Codes of Practice, Operational Procedures and Guidelines
  • To familiarize the Learner with CCTV equipment and its operation
  • To develop the learners understanding of on CCTV equipment operations within the CCTV Control Room environment
  • To familiarize the learners with the appropriate legislation that has an impact upon their operational activities
  • To develop the students understanding of different types of incidents and how to deal with them
  • To develop the learners understanding of surveillance techniques
